What makes JIMMI unique?

JIMMI creates an entirely new platform that can connect with key players in the utility transaction to deliver retail prices in an internet environment. Every point in the value chain flows from the point at which pricing occurs, and this provides the ability to leverage value from other parts of the value chain.

The JIMMI pricing tool uses supplier-friendly risk management based on their benchmark unit of measure - the expected forward price path. Efficiencies from profiling, self-service, and automation will enable them to better manage their complex retail risk exposures.

Though the technology is most appropriate to deregulated markets, there are also opportunities in regulated markets, particularly where service standards are high and markets are in transition towards competition.

Competition is scarce. The most common online tariff-setting mechanisms are currently reverse auctions, but crucially, these rely on demand offered first. In contrast, JIMMI is based on supplier forward offers existing first. This allows customers to ‘self-serve’ at price-setting time.
